Mayoral Forum launches Communications Strategy

The Mayoral Forum has developed a Communications Strategy, to provide the Forum with clear guidance on when and how to promote its leadership, facilitation and advocacy for Canterbury and to raise interest and awareness of the Mayoral Forum.

The strategy focusses on the actions in the Mayoral Forum’s Plan for Canterbury 2020–2022 and responds to other matters of importance and interest to the Canterbury region.

For specific or complex projects a communications plan will be prepared to ensure communication activities are coordinated, effective and consistent with the Communications Strategy. These will identify the rationale and purpose of the plan, spokesperson, key messages, identification of key stakeholders and audience, risks and issues and approval and sign off processes for the plan.

The strategy was approved at the Mayoral Forum meeting on 27 November 2020.
