Nick Leggett and Wayne Scott provided a brief overview of the purpose and role of their respective organisations and discussed key focus areas with forum members, including:
Infrastructure
Significant infrastructure challenges in transport, water, telecommunications and energy, tight economic conditions and constricted work programmes, and the importance of building a case to central government to unlock GDP growth and productivity in the region.
Aggregate and quarrying
National supply issues and the need for long-term planning across the country to meet demand.
