Climate Change Risk Assessment final report
The completed Canterbury Climate Change Risk Assessment technical report was presented to the meeting, and members discussed revisions required and a strategy for public release, including a soft launch to community groups in December, followed by a full launch in early 2022.
Biodiversity Champions: shared regional approach
Representatives from the Canterbury Biodiversity Champions councillor group presented to the Forum on their shared regional approach and discussed the stocktake of biodiversity work across the region the group has been doing.

Members discussed the structure of meetings for next year.
Mayoral Forum Economic Development Group update
An update on the group’s inaugural meeting was provided.
Regional Economic Development Senior Official update
Paul Stocks joined the meeting to speak about his role at Regional Economic Development Senior Official (REDSO).
Three waters
Members discussed three waters reforms, including the recent announcement to mandate these reforms, and agreed to write to the Minister for Local Government noting the Forum’s disagreement with the mandate.
